Stridefly is built on services you already trust: Apple to sign you in and store your data, and Plaid to connect your banks. We don't keep your balances, transactions or positions.
This page explains how Stridefly protects your data in plain language. For the formal details, read our Privacy Policy.
Your Stridefly account uses Sign in with Apple. Your Apple Account password stays between you and Apple, and your sign-in has Apple's protection: two-factor authentication, Face ID, and the choice to hide your email address.
You only need to sign in to link a bank or subscribe. Without signing in, you can use Stridefly for free with accounts you add by hand.
You link banks, cards and brokerages through Plaid, trusted by more than 9,000 financial apps, including Robinhood, SoFi, Venmo, Rocket Money, YNAB and Copilot. You sign in on Plaid's secure screen or on your bank's own site, and you choose which accounts to share. Your bank sign-in stays between you, Plaid and your bank.
Your accounts, balances, transactions, budgets and positions are saved on your phone and in your own iCloud account. Apple encrypts that data on the way to iCloud and on its servers. We don't keep a database of our customers' finances.
Lock Stridefly with Face ID. When you switch apps, a privacy cover hides your balances in the app switcher, and it's on by default. One switch, Hide balances, hides every balance in the app when someone's looking over your shoulder.

Privacy settings: what stays hidden
When your bank sends new data, it travels encrypted through our connection service to your phone. That service keeps no copy of your balances, positions or transactions, and the keys that keep each connection working are stored encrypted.
Disconnect an institution at any time. Export your data whenever you like. Erase your data or delete your account in Settings. Analytics are off until you turn them on, and they never include financial data. Our emails never include your balances, account names or holdings. We never sell your personal information.
No system is completely secure. That's why we rely on Apple and Plaid for the most sensitive steps, and keep no copy of your financial data ourselves. Questions about security? Email [email protected].

Yes, on its way to your phone. When the app opens, it registers your phone with a service we operate so it can receive notifications. When you connect a bank or brokerage, your financial data passes encrypted through that service on its way to your phone, and ticker symbols pass through it when the app looks up prices. That service does not keep copies of your balances, positions or transactions. It keeps an encrypted key for each connection and the institution’s name (for example, “Chase”). When you sign in, it keeps a code Apple provides for your Stridefly account, plus your name and email if you choose to share them. It also keeps basic details about your phone, such as the app version. The Privacy Policy has the details.
Yes. When you’re signed in, Erase device data removes your financial data from your phone and its iCloud copy; when you’re not, it clears this phone only. Delete Account also disconnects your institutions and removes your Stridefly account. Both are in Settings, and Delete Account cannot be undone. To remove a waitlist entry, email [email protected].
Stridefly is in private beta. We invite people in small groups, starting in November. Once you're in, you can look around with sample data before you add anything, no account needed.
